Annual Charman Prize showcasing Bermuda's talented artists will be on display in the Butterfield Family Gallery from February 5th - April 24th. All artwork for sale.

"Get the Lead Out" , February 5th - April 24th, 2010
Drawings and sketches from the Masterworks collection will go on display in the Rick Faries gallery from Friday, February 5th until April 24th.

"Registration for Youth Art Workshops - NOW OPEN! " , February 2010

Monday - Saturday 10am - 4pm [ Closed ALL public holidays ] Museum is accessible with ramps and an elevator.

 

Cost
General admission $5, FREE for members & children under 12.

 

Location
We are located in the Botanical Gardens, Paget. Bus routes 1,2 & 7. Pink signage in the Gardens will direct you to the museum.

 


 

Visiting the Museum

* For the protection of the art, food and beverages are not permitted in the galleries.

* Young Children must be supervised.

* Visitors are not allowed to touch works of art. 

* The Museum is a smoke-free environment.

* No photography in the galleries.  Drawing or note-taking with pencil is permitted.

* Please turn your cell phone to silent or off.

* Children's sneakers with wheels ("heelies") are not permitted in the gallery.

 

Coat Check and Umbrellas

There is an umbrella stand just inside the front door.  Coat check is available at the reception desk. 

 

Gift Items and Refreshments

Our Arrowroot Gallery and gift shop feature artworks and crafts by local artists, art books, calendars, Masterworks Bermudiana Collection china items, Masterworks wines and chocolates, postcards and greetings cards, and our very popular vintage Bermuda Travel Posters at $20 each.  The Museum features shopping events during the winter holiday season as well as holiday items in our gift shop and Arrowroot gallery.

Our cafe is slated to open in the year 2010, located in what was previously known as the Rose Garden Gallery, across from the Arrowroot Gallery.

 




Masterwork’s purpose is to enrich the community through art education by:

•  building and displaying a unique collection of Bermuda inspired art;

•  though art, foster a better understanding of Bermuda’s history and culture;

•  offering art education to all, embracing diversity of ability and financial means;

•  using the museum to create a stimulating cultural centre for residents and visitors;

•  attracting, inspiring and developing artists from home and abroad.

We believe that the Masterworks Collection is a unique celebration of Bermuda’s culture and intrinsic beauty - uniting the community and transforming lives through art and education.
