Rent a Painting Programme

	WHAT'S ON NOW?

	"A Rock and an Ocean" , January 13th - September 29th 25th Anniversary Exhibit which highlights the past 25 years of collecting art. Big names like Homer, O'Keeffe, Hartley will all be on display. Watercolour exhibit on the Mezzanine level. "4+4=1 Exhibit" , February 4th - 15th Manuel Palacio, Kenneth Burch, Lynne Smith and Kocchakorn Marchand "Tours by Tom Butterfield on Wednesday mornings at 10am" , Every Wednesday at 10am Founder and Director Tom Butterfield will be conducting tours of the museum every Wednesday at 10am. Price of admission applies, FREE for members.

We are a not for profit organisation and as such we get our funding from friends in the community and from abroad. After twenty-one years of fundraising to build the museum, we finally have a home for our collection, but the fundraising does not stop!

We are proud of our achievements, but, like many other organisations, we are also feeling the pressure of increasing costs. Our day to day operations, education programmes, community outreach efforts and building maintenance still depend largely on funding from our supporters. Your further contributions would mean so much to help us ensure a successful passage from one year to the next.

Some of the achievements that you have helped us create:

•	Since opening on March 1st, 2008 over 9,000 people have been through our doors.
•	Our Classroom is now in use 7 days a week as we extend our education programmes further into the community.
•	We have recruited a tremendous group of volunteers whose enthusiasm enables us to offer a great visitor experience.
•	We have already held two exhibitions in the Main Gallery, and have had ten shows in the Rick Faries Gallery.
•	The Henry Moore Foundation have made us a long term loan of some sketches by the renowned sculptor and artist, inspired by shells from Bermuda – the first of many such arts collaborations we hope to enjoy as our reputation grows.
•	We have established a successful hospitality event programme to bring more people to the Museum while generating much needed revenue.
•	The feedback from our wide range of visitors has exceeded our expectations – and our expectations were high!

This is a further benefit of our Corporate Membership, and offers you the opportunity to rent original works of art from our internationally acclaimed Bermudiana Collection.

The Collection consists of original artwork by overseas artists and all share the common theme of Bermuda. This historical and cultural collection encompasses over 1,000 works of art including oil paintings, watercolours, drawings, etchings, lithographs and photographs. We have chosen a selection from amongst these treasures to be available for corporate rental.

A fee of 10% of the value of the painting is charged for rental. If we need to use the rented work for an exhibition we will replace it with a work of equivalent value for the duration of the exhibition. Paintings may be changed once a year. Insurance is covered by Masterworks.
